What's next??

Light House Station was founded in 2016 out of a calling to serve and protect and a desire to use the resources that God provided as goodstewards for His glory.  In it’s time of service, Light House Station impacted the lives of 42 women and children residentsproviding over 3200 nights of shelter. We employed 12 people.  We served the community with resources and education.
We hosted volunteers who touched lives and gave their time and energy to the Lord through the ministry.  We had hundreds of people respond to what God was doing with hours of prayer and financial giving.  We witnessed God’s provision and miraculous healings of body and soul. Light House Station was a place of shelter, encouragement, safety, growth and love. It was a place of hard work, difficult conversations, challenges to be faced and obstacles to overcome. We faced opposition and received blessings from unexpected places.  Across the years, administrators, staff and residents were brought to the foot of the cross and into the throne room of God in desperation and dependency on our Father together and individually.

The board of directors of Light House Station have been in prayer to intentionally seek the Lord for His provision and direction for the ministry.  We have continued to hold to the vision that God gave back in 2016 when He opened the ministry.  Recently, the board has concluded that the season for Light House Station has ended, and it is time to pass the torch to our sister organization, All Babies Cherished. All Babies has been serving pregnant and parenting women in WNY for 30 years.  Recently, All Babies Cherished expanded to open a residential ministry called “God’s Good Grace Home”. God’s Good Grace is a nesting place for establishing hopeand the love of Christ through spiritual, physical, and emotional guidance to women and their children. All to be done in a safe, nurturing, and God-honoring environment for the sake of His glory and the strength of the family under Him.  Just like Light House Station, this home serves women and children who need a clean, safe place to live while also assisting with learning life skills and parenting. They offer mentoring and tangible hope through practical assistance.

Over the next couple of months, Light House Station will be closing and transitioning our resources to God’s Good Grace. We have taken time to seek God’s will for Light House Station, and we are excited to partner with them as they establish their home.  Jesus said that you will know the vine from its fruit; All Babies Cherished and theirhome are bearing good fruit. We are thankful for how each of you have invested in LightHouse Station- your energy, time, money, faith, and prayers have borne fruit across the lives of many. We hope you will continue to trust the Father and support the mission of “Empowering Women for Life” through the saving work of All Babies Cherished.

Change often calls us to reflect and can trigger strong emotions, but this is what we know:  God is sovereign. Light House Station belongs to Him- always has- and it is His to keep open or to close.  We trust Him even more now than when we opened the ministry. We know that He is still making a way for people.  The hope anchored in the truth of God’s promises and His word is unshakable.
